On existence and uniqueness results for systems of conservation laws

Abstract: I will first discuss existence and uniqueness results concerning systems of conservation laws in one space dimension or single conservation laws. No general existence or uniqueness theorem concerning systems of conservation laws in several space dimensions is presently available, but there are results that apply to specific systems. I will focus on well-posedness theorems established by relying on transport equation techniques. In the second part of the talk I will discuss related results obtained in collaboration with Luigi Ambrosio, Gianluca Crippa and Alessio Figalli.
