Abstract:
Various spatio-temporal patterns are observed in excitable media. To handle these phenomena, we consider a free boundary problem derived from FitzHugh-Nagumo system by singular limit analysis. I will present the existence of two types of traveling waves of the free boundary problem: (i) traveling spot solution, (ii) V-shaped traveling wave solution. We also discuss the local and global existence of solutions.
